What’s on the result
UPSC’s written result for NDA & NA is a roll-number list, nothing more. You will not find your rank, your marks, or a scorecard on this PDF — those come later. The list only tells you whether you have cleared the written stage and are being called for the next step.
Expected cut off marks
UPSC has not published an official cut off for NDA & NA (I) 2026 at the time of writing. Based on the exam’s usual pattern and the difficulty level reported by candidates this year, coaching platforms are estimating the written cut off somewhere in the 300–365 range out of 900 marks, with a mandatory minimum of 25% in each of the two papers (Mathematics and General Ability Test).
Treat this as an estimate, not a confirmed figure. UPSC typically releases the actual written cut off only alongside the final result, after SSB interviews are over. The same goes for the final combined score: past trends put a safe combined (written + SSB) score somewhere around 700 out of 1,800, but this too is not an official number yet.
What happens next
Clearing the written result is not the finish line. Candidates who qualify need to register for the SSB (Services Selection Board) interview on joinindianarmy.nic.in, usually within about two weeks of the result being declared — missing this window can cost you your candidature, so do not sit on it. The SSB process itself runs over five days and covers a screening test on day one, followed by psychological tests, group tasks and a personal interview across the remaining days. SSB interviews for this batch are expected to run through June to August 2026, depending on your allotted board and dates.
While you wait for your SSB call letter, this is the time to work on the things a written exam does not test: your physical fitness, current affairs, and how clearly you can talk about your own background and choices under pressure.
